Josh's First Shave

I bought Steve this electric razor for an early Christmas present. Little did I know that the first one to use it would be Josh! Josh was starting to get a little dark shadow under his lip and I was so looking forward to seeing how it was going to come in, but Steve shaved it off.
Seee!!!! Oh well, maybe it will grow in quicker and thicker this way. He is really starting to look more grown up now.

Now he just can't wait to get taller! It seems to be all about the height with these boys.

Shaving?! Wow, they are growing too fast! Yes, it does seem to be all about height with boys this age. One of my boys' body clock seems to be slower than everyone else's and he's going to be so jealous when he hears about this! :-) It's so much fun to watch them all grow into this stage; so far, I'm enjoying this stage a lot.

How bittersweet for you as a mother, to watch them grow and change.

My oldest DS hasn't reached that stage, yet. He does of blond hair so it won't show as quickly. Luckily he isn't in a rush to get there.

Wow, Stacie! That was a shocker blog; I never imagined Josh was old enough. That makes YOU older too, you know! He is still a cutie!

I enjoyed getting to tease him in person :) Hard to believe he is that old. What happened to my "Bugaboo"? Yikes on the mohawk! Glad he had it down most of the time ;) Hey, at least he hasn't colored purple something!

Wow Stacie, how grown up!

Boys do grow slower than girls during this time, then they shoot up all of a sudden.

I have seen it with my oldest daughter and her friends, the girls got so tall so quick and then the boys kinda stayed the same for a couple years, but now they have shot up and are all so tall, so many of them are like 6 feet tall!

It was great fun to see them at the 4-H competitions this fall and see how grown-up looking they all are!

This made me smile so big and laugh, too! What a special day! LOVE the photos! :)

And too, you'd be proud of me...I have been letting my hubby make the calls on just how involved I am in things...and I've said no, per his suggestion, on a HUGE number of things! :) And it feels so good! :)
