Are They All Yours?

I get this question a LOT! Yes, and no, it wasn't an accident. We did mean to have all of these children.
The next question will enivitably be, "Your hands are so full!" Yes, they are. As you can see, they are full of blessings.
I pray that each of these children will grow up and make a difference in their world. That they will follow wherever God leads them. God has given each of them special gifts and I want to be a tool in discovering what they are.
I love my children and even though each day presents it's challenges, if I keep these long-term goals in mind, I know everything is going to be OK.

"Thank you, Lord, that I said "yes" to you. I would have stopped at two, but you had a much bigger plan for me. A plan that I couldn't have possibly imagined. A plan that I would have thought impossible for me to do. Thank you that you go before me, leading me every step of the way. I don't want to go anywhere without you, Lord. You are my strength and my song!"

I pray that when all is said and done, that they will be all Yours.

Love your post...and your answers. I get many of those questions and I just tell them how blessed I am with each of them. Once someone kept pressuring me -- a stranger at Starbucks -- and I flat-out said, "well, who then should I give up?" Can you believe it? And that was when I only had five kids.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Well said! I agree! I was going to stop at 4- two boys and two girls, the perfect family. I had a career. I thought I had it all. Now I'm so glad to be home with my 6 children and would love more. What a joy it is to embrace children as the blessing God says they are!

What a wonderful prayer! Love your response when you get "questioned" over having a large family. I, too, pray that God will use both our sets of children to do great things for Him! Love ya, Sis!

With out two oldest being 10 and 12 years older than the next two in our brood (with #5 on the way!) we get a lot of "Oh, THAT wasn't planned, was it?"
oh!
All our babies were planned, whether by us or by God!

What I wanna know is how you got to keep your girlish figure while I get to sport the mom-belly???
:)

I love how fearfully and wonderfully made each kid is... Amazing how God can still, with so many folks in our family, make everyone so unique.

I get those some comments. I only have four right now. I just smile and say yes they are and I am thankful for them. Then they don't know how to reply. I have had an elderly lady once at the store say. You are really blessed to have those kids. you don't get many of those. I thought that was so sweet of her. I too pray God will bless my children. They are a blessing from God.

AMEN! I used to get that a lot when I would traipse around with 4 under the age of 4. Your response is so good and so true - they are each a treasure and each a blessing!

First of all, you look WONDERFUL in these pictures! :) Second, I still haven't really figured out what I'm going to do about the pictures on my blog. Right now, I'm uploading them to flikr and then just using the http address to place them in my post. Lot of work. :( My dh says that he doesn't mind if I just pay. It says it is only $5 per year for 20 GB of memory. I just worry that they will up the price or something! 20 GB is A LOT of space as it took me THIS long to just fill up 1 GB but I am still trying to figure it out. Thanks for asking!
Thirdly, I love this post! I am so thankful for my kids also. I have learned so much being a mother! I get these questions ALL the time and I only have four so far! Recently, someone at a restaurant told my dh and I we were crazy! :P
Maybe that was because when he asked if we want more dh and I said at the same time: (dh) Only 10 or so and (me) Working on our own bball team! HAHA! Poor fellow! :) Didn't know what hit him! :)

Blessings, Stacie!!!

My friend, Becky took our pictures. She was taking them as we were walking towards her. I thought it looked kind of cool, too!

Thanks!

What a WONDERFUL post Stacie! Yes, they are a blessing and YES...the LORD will quide them according to HIS will for each of their lives! They are blessed to call you Mama! How strange it is that the world sees things so differently than we do...but we ought not to be surprised...*they* are blinded and cannot truly *see*! God's Word says it all...and you are BLESSED!!

Love,
Camille

Great post. We too get that question often along with "do you know what causes that ?" Actually we do, and yes we would love to have more. We're expecting #6 in June but are so super happy. My husband usually says " you know, I look at them I can't imagine 1 of them not being there"

I think it's awful when people point and count the kids : (
All we can do is pray for them

Wanting What I Have said...

L-O-V-E this post!!! oh yes, your hands are richly full of God's blessings!!!
