In The Blink of an Eye-Thankful

At the end of last week, it looked like this...
A huge arctic front moved into the Northwest and now it looks like this! In the blink of an eye. I didn't even have time to have the kids rake the leaves. Now they will be wet and soggy.

Steve took five of the children to the beach whilst I had just Lily Pie for four days. It was wonderful to not have to be thinking three meals ahead, doing laundry all day and discplining. It was a mini-vacation for me. I am so blessed to have a husband who is willing to do that for me.

I got so much done...

I bought and wrapped all our gifts for the children and hid them in the shed.

I cleaned the house from top to bottom and detrashed all the kid's rooms.

I rearranged the playroom/nursery.

Made several more meals.

Sorted all the book shelves.

Cleaned the bathrooms.

Swept and mopped the floors. The heavenly thing is that everything stayed clean!

I went through clothes and got some of the winter clothing out.

Went on a date with my dad to go shopping. So fun!

Had two very close friends come over for a lovely, long visit.

I have so many things to be thankful for. My family, my friends, my house. I am so thankful to the Lord for providing me with so many blessings. I am so contented right now that it feels like I almost want to purr!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

May you be blessed.

Wow look at all that snow! We don't get snow here it must be beautiful to wake up to your house all covered!
How refreshing to only have one child for a few days! And to be able to clean the house it would be wonderful! So glad you had a nice 'break' :)

I know the feeling of contentment that you're talking about!! I've even said that I feel so thankful that I could purr to Hero before, he thought that I was nuts; it's nice to know that someone else knows exactly how I feel. :) I'm glad that you've had such a wonderful week!

My mom and dad said they have a white blanket everywhere too (they live in Imbler) and while we don't get snow the days have been sooo cold. Yesterday's temps were in the low 40's and that was with full sunshine in the middle of the afternoon. Makes me wonder what the night temps have been.

You got a lot accomplished on your little break! I think I woulda' been a lazybones :)

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, you have inspired me to get offline and get moving today. We are doing Thanksgiving aa day late, but I have all day today to cross off the cleaning and enjoy just the cooking tomorrow. What a blessing to have that time with friends and for your children to have that time with dad. We too are a bit snowed in up here in Washington. thanks, Nicole

Oh how WONDERFUL!!! I *loved* the list of ALL. YOU. GOT. DONE!!!!! WOW!!!! Isn't it amazing that when there was *just* one baby in the home it was difficult to "get it all done"...but when you have many children and go down to one it feels like a vacation??? How precious that your Steve did that for you! I'm sure he and the children made many happy memories while they were away too.

Happy Thanksgiving my friend!

In His Love,
Camille

Wow, you really did get a lot accomplished! How wonderful! And it is a special blessing that your husband is kind enough to take the kids for those mini-vacations...we Mommies sure can use them every now and then! But, how wonderful when they come back home. I can only stand it for a small time and then, like you, just to be able to accomplish those things I can't otherwise!
Blessings,
Jackie

We only got a smattering of snow on Tues. a.m., mainly people's lawns and roofs. Nothing more but COLD air on Tues and Wed. I wore wool sox to work on Wed. Wow! you did a lot of cleaning. Good for you and glad you had some down time. What a great hubby to do that for you. I'm sure the children will have wonderful memories of their trip with daddy.
Purr on my friend! :0)
