Another Adventure

I took the kids to explore an old Catholic pioneer cemetery by my parent's ranch. I was so pleased to discover the wildflowers that were everywhere! It was way up top and there was hardly any wind. I'm trying to teach Marcus how to take pictures. He is listening pretty well and took this one of Lily and I.
There was a storm rolling in and I thought this picture captured it perfectly. Normally, you would have been able to see Mt. Hood.
This picture is missing a few kids. Some kids have a lousy attitude about my adventures and some are all for it. I don't care though, we are getting out of the house and it's cheap! We also like to invite Josh and Marcus' friend, Nathan. He's always up for it.
More of the wildflowers. It was like someone had spread several wildflower seed packets over the cemetery. It was breathtaking!

Whoa, Stacie! Beautiful photos! You're right...it DOES look like someone just scattered wildflower seeds!
Love your hair, too!

I have a few who are never up to my adventures, too. It bums me out but doesn't keep me from going!

This year our oldest son has to work when we are off to our annual family 3-day get-a-way...the one we have taken ever summer since 1999. And he has to work, can't get out of it. He is 19 now and has his own bills to pay, his car to upkeep, so I can hardly tell him to take those days off. So, he will stay at home while we all go without him. I'm so bummed! What about the traditional photo that we take in the same place every year? He will be missing from this year's photo! I can hardly stand it when they get older....

Isn't it so much fun exploring and going on cheap outings. I am all for it! The view is breathtaking indeed!

It looks beautiful! What do you do with the ones that don't want to come? Do you ever make them go? Just curious :)

Kathy, I make them come anyway. I tell them that I can't please everyone, sometimes we just have to do something we don't want to do because we are part of a family. I am trying to train them to be unselfish. My new mantra is "It's not all about you."! I have to be careful though because I can be selfish too.

Love all the wildflowers and it is nice to get away and out in the quiet! Children will always complain about something so us mom's have had to go with the flow for years and they can just deal with it. Mine seem to have turned out fine! Even though they disliked being at a garden center for an hour and looking at plants. :0)It's kind of laughable now.

The wildflowers are such a blessing. You go somewhere to be alone and find that God has already been there! So glad you went out and enjoyed the day.

Trust your husband continues to improve.
