step dad and one with my sister, Jackie. After dropping them off we drove six hours to Ontario, OR. This next morning we got up early and drove another six hours to Reno, Nevada. If anyone ever complains about us overpopulating the earth again, I'm going to tell them to take a trip down to Southern Oregon and Northern Nevada. It is so desolate! You can drive a couple hundred miles a finally get to a town where the population is 500!
Reno, you ask? Yep, Reno. My hubby has always liked the lights and activity. It's not my favorite place to go. We actually tried to take the family back when we just had three. There was not that much to do there for them. It seemed that I was stuck in the hotel most of the time by myself. So when Steve kept saying he wanted to go back, I told him that I would compromise with him. We would leave the kids and I would go alone with him. It worked out great! It was so relaxing and easy. We connected in a whole new way and realized how much stress the children do cause on our marriage.
The picture above is in front of the Silver Legacy Hotel which is where we stayed. Very pretty hotel right on the strip. We are not big time gamblers, so the casino has no lure for us. We do enjoy the food though and did catch one buffet.
th anniversary), we saved up the big bucks and got a deluxe spa suite. We both were disappointed in the spa. The spa sounded like a jet engine when it was running. Ridiculously loud! The king-size bed was nice and the bathroom was HUGE!
We really didn't worry about the kids that much, but talked about them frequently. By the fourth day we were really missing them. It was hard being away from Lily for that long.
The best part of our trip is we got to see Bill Cosby! He was funny and had clean humor. We both enjoyed his show very much.
