I took Jessica for her annual birthday tea at our local tea parlor (ANZAC Tea Parlor). This time she insisted on taking her five-year old brother Andrew. I wasn't too sure about this, because they can get a little hyper when they are together. Andrew has never been before and I could tell he desperately wanted to come. So I said "Yes", with a back-up plan in mind. They did really good! Surprisingly good. He didn't break anything and he listened to instructions.
The only thing annoying was that he wouldn't stop burping! Yep, that's what he's doing in this picture. Burping! At least his hand is over his mouth. Bev made us these individual Pavlov cakes. They are a delicious meringue with Devonshire cream spread on them, topped with fresh fruit. They kids went crazy over them! We can't wait to learn how to make them.
OK, does that not say it all? We did have a lot of fun!
Jess wouldn't miss trying on Bev's hats, and at the end even got Andrew to join in. It was pretty funny!

You have just x's for pictures right now. I love the story, though. I have egg whites left from a Key Lime Cheesecake that I'm going to make Pavlovas from.
We went to a tea room right before we came down to Texas. We had the best time. Bri had to try on every dress and hat they had. Ha Ha She was really good with the china. I was nervous about that.
We have to try the tearoom here.
Have a wonderful day.
It sounds wonderful...and mega yummy!
There's a beautiful tea room about an hour from my home. It was so wonderful when we went there.
Have a blessed Tuesday.

What fun time you had. My boys would join us for tea and act silly with hats and etc. It was all great fun. I remember those days when the boys wanted to burp all the time! Boys will be boys.
We just attended a Christian Youth Theater that put on the production of Willy Wonka the Chocolate Factory and Charley and Grandpa had to burp. They couldn't, so some other kids had to do it for them. Well, my boys could have done it for them!
I couldn't see the pictures either, but enjoy the cute story.
We have yet to try the tea room out, but I need to do that with my only little princess soon.
Yum I love Pavlova. My number one fave for sure.
Except for the burping it sounds like you had a lovely time. Your children are growing up so fast.
Thoughtful Jessica, thinking of her brother. I have a date to take Elijah next Tuesday because he's the only one who's never gone and he's been dying to go, especially before we leave.
The weaning Lily post made me cry. (Cry bad!) I can't believe how old our babies are!
That's great about Jacob! He went at the library and had pretty good aim. I was impressed. Of course that made Hannah have to go too, and she wanted to stand up like Jacob, then she cried when I made her sit.
Your children are such sweet little rambunctious angels. We love them!
Sorry about that, I think it's fixed!
Awww.... That's cute that she wanted him to go too. They must be buddies!
Oh such a little lady you have on your hands there - so lovely!!! What treat to have sone time together!
Pavlova is a regular treat over here! We LOVE it! One birthday Kathy made me one and put food colouring in the cream to make it pink - my fav colour, special!!
Hope you have fun learning to make it, it's easier then it seems!
Luv Donna

That last picture is so cute! I'm going to have to give Andrew a little ribbing about that, LOL! You are really brave to take those two together. Glad they did good, despite the burping. We're going to have to have one of those cakes sometime. They look delicious!
