Baby on Wheels!

Lily is in love with her walker! She is figuring out how to scoot everywhere and is a much happier baby because of it!
I was in the kitchen cooking when I felt a tug on my skirt. I looked down and somehow she had managed to scoot her way over and start chewing on it.
I just thought she looked so adorable! I grabbed my camera and stood by her and she did it again. These are the moments that just make my ol' heart melt. I LOVE the cute things they do as they discover their world.

Yep, she still has her little Mohawk going. I can't believe she is five months already. Time just seems to be slipping away.

I'll leave you this poem that just touched my heart the other day.

What Did I Do Today?

What did I do today?
Today I left some dishes dirty,
the bed got made around 3:30.
The diapers soaked a little longer,
The odor grew a little stronger.
The crumbs I spilled the day before
Are staring at me from the floor.
The fingerprints there on the wall
Will likely be there still next fall,
The dirty streaks on those window panes
Will still be there next time it rains.

"Shame on you," you sit and say,
"Just what did you do today?"

I nursed a baby till she slept,
I held a toddler while he wept.
I played a game of hid-and-seek
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.
I pulled a wagon, sang a song,
Taught a child right from wrong.
What did I do this whole day through?
Not much that shows-I guess that's true,
Unless you think that what I've done
Might be important to someone
With bright brown eyes and soft brown hair.
If that is true-I've done my share.

Love the poem, Stace. You are doing so much better about playing with your kids. Lily is just so cute in that walker. Her mohawk cracks me up! It has been far to long since I've seen her.

Oh these little ones takes so much time. Housework will always be there, but they won't. Sweet post today.

Her mohawk looks more like a river of hair, if you ask me. You do very well with your kids, and you will continue to do better because you want to...you want to 'enlarge your territory', I think that's what Jabez's prayer was.

Lily sucking on your skirt is a memory for you to share with her when she is grown, just as I did with Kimber this week while visiting her. Such divine delights come from the One Who rescuses us all the time!!

Hi! My name is Amber. I found your blog through an Above Rubies magazine.Just wanted to leave you a note that I am SO encouraged by your blog and have enjoyed reading it. I cannot wait until I have time to sit and read...and read... more of it. We have 3 small children and homeschool too. So, as you can guess, I am super busy right now. To sit and read your blog is not an unwise use of my time, but a refreshment. Precious family! Thank you for being a sweet aroma of Christ.

A river of hair. Oooooh, I like that, Catherine! It was so great seeing you yesterday!

Amber,

So you glad you are enjoying the blog. When I started blogging, God impressed upon my heart for the blog to be a safe, encouraging, girlfriendy place to be. Thank you for your sweet words, you have in-turn encouraged me. I love comments! It makes me want to write more. Blessings to you as you raise your little ones for the Lord.
