Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. W are asked to pray for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ as they face horrendous persecution throughout the world for their faith in Jesus.
I had the honor today of getting up in front of the church and reading a story of Karenze, a persecuted Christian who has been rejected and declared dead by her family and has experienced numerous death threats in the past seven years. She converted from Muslim to Christianity. Very sad. She is just one of millions who endure hardship, prison and unspeakable torture because of their faith in Jesus.
Please pray for them! They don't ask that the persecution be taken away, they ask that they have the courage to stand up under it and be counted worthy of suffering for Christ's Name.
We live in a bubble. We can never fully understand it unless we've experienced it (right, Catherine?). We are told to pray and pray we MUST!
